Student Free Day Postponed
Each year our staff use one of our student free days early in Term 1 to conduct a two-day conference that provides professional learning and opportunities for team building. While we know that having a student free day early in the year is a disruption, we know that the benefit for staff (and therefore students’ learning) significantly outweighs the disruption. Our staff conferences for the past two years have been impacted by COVID and the current case numbers have left us feeling that a conference in Term 1 will not be worth the disruption to student learning.
Therefore we are postponing the student free day that was scheduled for Friday 18th February to another day in Term 2, yet to be approved by our School Council. We will inform you of the new date once it has been confirmed. Students will be expected to attend school on Friday 18th February as usual.
