ear 9 Outdoor Adventures

The Year 9 Outdoor Education class have been participating in a range of surfing and snorkelling sessions this term. On Friday the 28th of October, we attend Live Wire Park in Lorne where students completed the Super Circuit course, with a range of high rope/ tree top courses which tested the student’s strength and problem-solving skills. It was a fantastic day out with many smiles and laughs as well as a pizza lunch along the Lorne foreshore. A very big thank you to all students for their positive contribution to Outdoor Education Adventures this semester and giving all activities a go. All students have been an absolute pleasure to take off site and have represented MFG in a very positive light. Another big thank you to Mr Myers and Mr Dyson for joining us on our adventures this semester.

Student reflections:

-At Livewire Park I was able to connect with new people by taking on a challenge together. It was a fun experience by trying hard courses like stepping on small foot-sized logs – Mia Ellis 9C

-I really enjoyed snorkelling as I got to see many marine lives such as 2 stingrays and many, many fish – Faizi Faqiri 9L

-In Outdoor Education, take risks and get out of your comfort zone and just have fun, make some memories with teachers and fellow students – Isabella Swan 9C

-Whilst surfing, when I was working on my personal goal of a positive mindset, I was also influencing the groups vibe by trying to make it a more positive environment – Libby Orr 9L
