National Jump Jam Champions - Again:

Last Saturday, our two Jump Jam teams competed at the National Champs in Tauranga. We have a long history of success on the national stage, and this year was no different.

Both teams gave their absolute all - no nerves, no mistakes.

Our Junior - Rainmakers - team claimed First Place and is now the National Champion for the Year 4 Advanced Category. They were amazing. They achieved a clean sweep of Excellence Awards.

Our Senior - Freaks of Heights - team competed in the Ultimate competition for the top six teams in New Zealand. They scored higher than any National winning team in the history of the competition, but this year the competition was so fierce that that score was not enough to win it, but did gain them fourth place nationally and second in the North Island.

Our Freaks of Heights team also gained the judges' overall favourite performance of the whole competition - the second year in a row we have won this award.

Huge thanks, as always, to our two fabulous coaches, Jenna Aalbers and Rebekah King. They, and our girls, put so much time and effort into this project and are deservedly hugely proud of their achievements.

Special thanks to all the wonderful WHS staff who travelled down to Tauranga to support our two teams. Their support meant so much to our performers and coaches.

Thanks also to our parents, your support and encouragement throughout the year has been awesome.

We'll do it all again next year...

Videos of our team performances can be found on our school website homepage - we are not allowed to post them to YoTube, Facebook or any other social media site.
