Christmas Appeal

Carols By Candlelight

YMCA Geelong Inc. is a charitable, not for profit incorporated association. Through our programs and services to the greater Geelong region we provide our community with an opportunity to be healthier, happier and connected.

YMCA Geelong are hosting the Carols by Candlelight Geelong on Christmas Eve at Johnstone Park.  We are happy to finally be able to welcome people back to Johnstone Park for this incredible event!

All of the money raised will be going towards our youth and community projects, giving everyone the opportunity to access sport and engagement no matter their circumstances.

We are looking for some volunteers to help out on the day. Volunteers will need to be 16+ years of age. A T-shirt will be provided to each volunteer to wear.

This would be a good opportunity for community minded people and people who may be looking to increase their community service hours.

Fiddler on the Roof

Footlight Productions is proud to present the classic musical Fiddler On The Roof in January 2023.  The Sacred Heart College Performing Arts Centre will be transformed into the village of Anatevka, and audiences will be introduced to the milkman Tevye, his family, and all the villagers who are grappling with times of change and unrest.

With a sublime score featuring well known songs including Tradition, Sunrise Sunset and If I Were A Rich Man, Fiddler On The Roof is both a resounding slice of history and an uplifiting celebration that raises its cup to joy, to love, to life.

Fiddler On the Room remains as relevant today as it was when first staged in 1964 - it is an ensuring reminder that in many parts of the world people are still forced to leave behind the homes they love.  Times are always troubling and the ground continues to shift under our feet but with richness and a beauty that is unsurpassed. Fiddler On The Roof promises to be an extraordinary production.
