News from around the school

New - School Disco

Thank you to the P&F for running an enjoyable social event for St Mary's students. We had some 'Spooky' visitors dance the night away.

Thankyou to our special guest Monsignor Peter.

New - Confirmation Celebration

Congratulations to all students who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend. The students were reverent in their participation of the mass and are now fully initiated members of the Church.

New - Confirmation Reflection Day

The Scarament of confirmation students clebrated a wonderful Sacramental Reflection Day recently. They chatted about the seven sacraments, listed what we knew about the Sacrament of Confirmation, attended Mass, practised for their ceremony and enjoyed time together.  This was a beautiful way for the students to prepare for their celebrations. It was also lovely to welcome back some of our past students.

New - Grades 5/6 Term 4 - Inquiry Unit

Our Big Question for Term 4 is ‘How do inventions improve our lives’

In Inquiry, we have been focussing on Economics and Business, looking at ourselves as

consumers, what we WANT and what we NEED and how this affects inventions that assist our lives. In coming weeks, thestudents will begin to design a new invention that will help make our lives easier!

We have researched the rights of consumers and what has to occur in order for us to be able to return or exchange an item we have purchased. The students have also been recording "mockumentaries" about an everyday invention.

Updated - Founders Day
