NEW NEWS.

Please see the flier attached to today’s newsletter regarding the release of a moving film about “Laudato Si’” - Pope Francis’ encyclical letter about our world, our environment and how we treat the Earth and each other.

Pope Francis ends the film by stating ‘We all need each other. None of us is an island. And we can only build the future by everyone standing together.’

The link to the film, which can be viewed on YouTube is included on the flier. It runs for approximately 75 minutes.

 

NEWS REMINDER.

St. Mary’s School Choir!

Twenty six students from Grades 3 - 6 have joined the St. Mary’s School Choir and had their first practice last week! They were introduced to the two songs we will sing at the Mooroopna Carols in the Park celebrations to be held on Saturday, 10th December at 6:30pm. 

The songs are:

  1. Mary, did you know? (sung by Carrie Underwood)
  2. Sant Claus is Coming to Town (the Bruce Springsteen version!)

The Choir timetable over the next few weeks is as follows, with our next practise (Week 6) this Friday at 1.00pm.: 

 

 

NEWS REMINDER.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Congratulations to all students who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend. The students were reverent in their participation of the mass and are now fully initiated members of the Church. We have five students celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation this Saturday night at 6.30pm mass and we wish them well.

 

 

Sacramental program for 2023.

Enrolments for the 2023 Sacramental program will be advertised later in Term Four.

Dates for the 2023 celebrations of the sacraments of First Reconciliation (Term Two), First Eucharist (Term Three) and the Sacrament of Confirmation (Term Four) will also be advertised at this time. 

Sacramental enrolment forms will be available in Term One, 2023, and no enrolments will be accepted after the end of Term One, 2023, for any of the sacraments.
