PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Lindy Burke

All Echuca East Primary School staff are aware that many of our families are affected by the recent floods and many who will continue to be impacted for some time to come.

You are in our thoughts and if there is anything we can do to help, please reach out.

I have included DET’s Flood Assistance information below which may be of help to the families who have been impacted by these floods directly.

One positive that comes out of such tragic natural events is the outstanding community support. While our school was closed there were many, many families, staff and students out in the community each and every day helping others out. Many were on shovels, filling sand bags, cooking BBQs, delivering sandbags, building sandbag levees and even moving animals to dry land. Many of these lessons cannot be taught in the classroom, yet the experiences will stay with them for a lifetime.  As usual our Easties have been amazing throughout this challenging time and again, I am super proud!
