Build a Burger Assignment

The cooking room smelt amazing on Tuesday this week with the smell of fresh burgers!  Students got to choose which burger to make - chicken schnitzel,  zinger burger or beef burger option and were then marked on their presentation, cooking skills and teamwork.

This editor had a rumbling tummy all Tuesday arvo - so reefed a food-stained recipe out of the recycling bin on the way home and made the zinger burger - delicious!  

I then managed to sneak in lots of last minute tips from the student chefs as I think there was a burger chef in each Foodworks aisle I went down that afternoon! 

"Don't burn the buns!"

"Make sure you turn on the exhaust fans"

"Is cornstarch the same as corn flour?" "YES"

Ms Janson marked my leftovers the next day too in the staffroom- bonus! (I lost marks for presentation...🤣)
