Remembrance Day

Friday 11th November

Friday 11 November is Remembrance Day — a day for us to remember those who have served and those who have died in all wars and peacekeeping operations.

Remembrance Day marks the date in 1918 when the First World War came to an end. It is officially observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month each year.

To mark Remembrance Day, we will travel over to the monument in the main street for the Remembrance Day service.  All students are reminded that they will need a hat or umbrella for sun protection while we are over there.

We will walk over there at 10:40 and return after for an extended recess.

The Shrine of Remembrance’s commemorative service will be live streamed on the Shrine’s Facebook and YouTube channels from 10:30 am. Refer to the Shrine of Remembrance website for more information.
