Thunderstorm Asthma

November is the start of Thunderstorm asthma season and if you are someone who gets a sniffle and sneeze, or who gets a bit breathless during spring, Asthma Australia is urging you to visit the doctor to find out if you are at risk.

Does your child have asthma?  Do we have an up-to-date asthma plan on file here at school?

Mental Health & Wellbeing

As we know, good mental health and wellbeing is so important for everyone to be able to learn better, be creative and productive, be more positive in social interactions and improve health. However, it is often when we are not coping that well, that we tend to fall back into our bad habits.

Ensuring you are developing and living good habits, every day of your life, will help to build good mental health and wellbeing and hopefully reduce the chance, or number of times, that it is not so good.

10 things you can do every day to help build good mental health and wellbeing:

  1. Learn strategies to help in the rough times.
  2. Get into life – do stuff you love.
  3. Connect with others.
  4. Stay active.
  5. Sleep well.
  6. Eat well.
  7. Limit alcohol and other drugs.
  8. Get support if you need it.
