Grandparents Day

Happy Grandparents Day! 

On Thursday 3rd November, the Preps celebrated Grandparents Day. We began our day with a special mass with Fr Andrew, where our students sat with their grandparents.

 After Mass, our Preps and their grandparents participated in activities within the classrooms. The activities were colouring in, puzzles, reading books, word searches and Lego and it was lovely to see how happy our grandparents were to be spending valuable time with their grandchildren. For some of our grandparents, it had been a very long time since being in a primary school classroom. 

Tea and coffee was then served in the Performing Arts Centre after the classroom activities and some grandparents were keen in catching up with each other over a cuppa. 

We had a wonderful turnout and we thank all the grandparents that took the time and made the effort to join their grandchildren. For those grandparents who could not make it, their grandchildren were thinking about them.

What a fabulous way to celebrate Grandparents Day!  A day for all to remember.
