Vice-Captains Report

Hi everyone,
“HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY MELTON WEST PRIMARY SCHOOL”
This week our school turned “50”. Wow, what an achievement!
The special celebration is being held on Friday 18th November from 3.00pm to 6.30pm. We have many distinguished guests attending as well as past principals, teachers, staff and students. Luckily the weather is looking good after quite a few days of heavy rain and cold temperatures.
Our Grade 6 students continue to prepare for the next stage of their educational journey. They have been practising their graduation song and dance. The Grade 5 students have been learning about leadership and writing applications if they are interested in being a school captain or leader.
Our school is having a little makeover. We have new flagpoles that have been put at the front entrance of the school which look fantastic. We also have works being done on our new sensory garden. You may have noticed this as you walk down West Melton Drive. The garden will really benefit all our students as it will support them with their learning and can be used as a calming place. We can’t wait for it to be completed.
We hope you all have a great week!
Until next time,
Chloe and Ulus (Vice Captains)
