THRIVE & BERRY STREET TRAINING

Our curriculum is based on LIVE YOUR VALUES and BE HEALTHY this term. Classes are completing THRIVE lessons based on values associated with this. These include curriculum from Respectful Relationships, building awareness of similarities and differences between people, and also acceptance of that in respectful ways.

Breakfast Club Baskets continue to be popular. Our Health Ambassadors and their teacher mentors are managing the program with great enthusiasm and diligence. Goodies are available at 8.30am, as we try to support students who may not have had any breakfast.

Assembly  will be on Fridays on odd weeks of this term during session 5.  Dates are Friday, Nov 4, 18, Dec 2 and 16. They are held in the hall starting at 2.00pm and we have a video link you can watch also.

Attendance We continue to look closely at our attendance data and support students who may have trouble with regular attendance. Weekly meetings are offered to support students and families.

We also have weekly meetings with the families of students on Behaviour Support Plans so we can work together to understand situations happening and how we can best support the student to make great choices.

We will recognise student attendance at the conclusion of every term.

Just a reminder that we are an accredited Sunsmart school. This means students are strongly encouraged to wear their broad brimmed school hat or stay in the shade. From September until May, no hat means no play. UV rays increase in intensity from September—these are what burn the especially sensitive skin of children—even on cloudy days.
