In English, Term 4 is a time to consolidate and cement understanding. 

We will continue to provide explicit teaching through out targeted mini-lessons and allowing for student agency via the Reader's and Writer's Workshop.

Each session has a targeted focus that is explicitly and systematically taught. The children then use the remainder of the session to explore their own interests via independent writing and reading. 

During this time the teachers will rove and confer individually with the children to ensure that they have any support or encouragement they need.
