COVID-19 INFORMATION
The Victorian Government has announced the end of the Pandemic Declaration and associated Pandemic Orders. The following settings, based on advice from the Department of Health, will apply from 11.59 pm Wednesday 12 October 2022.
It is strongly recommended that students:
- who test positive to COVID-19 should stay home and isolate for 5 days
- should not attend school after 5 days if still symptomatic
- who are symptomatic but have not tested positive should not attend school
- advise the school of the COVID-19 positive test result.
Where students become symptomatic at school they should:
- be collected by their parents/carers
- undergo testing for COVID-19.
FACE MASKS
- Students are strongly recommended to wear masks while on school buses, on public transport, and when on excursions, or in rideshares.
CYBERSAFETY
How do you act now to stay secure?
The ACSC has a number of resources to help you act now to stay secure. The resources cover basic cyber security practices such as updates, multi-factor authentication (MFA), backups, and passphrases.
Email is a common target for cybercriminal activity. The ACSC has resources available to help you keep your email secure:
- Multi-factor authentication
- Secure your Google account
- Secure your Microsoft account
- Protect your business from email fraud & compromise

The ACSC also has resources on how to secure your accounts and devices. It’s easy to improve your cyber security! Take these simple steps today to protect yourself:

- Set up and perform regular backups

A Parent's Guide to talking to children about safety
Children have the right to be and feel safe at all times. Talking to children from an early age about safety, their bodies, and how they can protect themselves, is an important part of keeping them safe.
Personal safety, also known as protective behaviours, is a powerful way to teach children about safety, risk taking, and what they can do when they feel unsafe.

WELLBEING RESOURCES
We know that it can sometimes be hard to find the necessary resources in relation to mental health, bullying and family violence, especially when things are tough. For this reason, the School has a small webpage with links related to health and wellbeing resources. This can be found on the School's website under Other Resources or can be found here.
SCHOOL HATS
During Term 4 it is compulsory for hats to be worn by students during recess/lunch & all outdoor activities. Please ensure your child/children bring their hat to school each day. Should you need to purchase a hat for your child please visit https://shop.alintaapparel.com.au/web/login

TREETOPS CAFE
The cafe will be running every day except Wednesday for Senior School students. At this point in time, use of the restaurant seating will only be available to staff and Year 11 & 12 students. Year 7 - 12 Students are permitted to purchase takeaway food from the cafe.
BHCS CANTEEN
JUNIOR SCHOOL : The canteen is available for lunch orders on Wednesday & Fridays. Junior students (Prep - Year 4) can pre-order lunch orders via the Flexischools app.
MIDDLE & SENIOR SCHOOL: Year 5-12s are welcome to order at the canteen window during recess and lunch breaks from Tuesday – Friday.
The canteen is closed on Mondays.
