Netball
At the end of last term, at the conclusion of the netball season, St Edward's had a number of students nominated for the Dorothy Lockwood OAM Memorial Award for Fair Play and Sportsmanship. A massive congratulations to Rhimyah Jenner from St Edward's Hotshots who is the deserving recipient of the award.

Sienna went to Sydney (Luna Park) in the holidays with her dance team to perform in the Dance Life Unite Nationals. The team came home with some amazing results: 1st in Ballet, 1st in Lyrical and 2nd in Jazz. Sienna's team was also awarded the best performance in their jazz for the weekend.
As part of our K-6 Personal Development Health and Physical Education Curriculum we are required to teach Gymnastics. Jan and Stephen McGinnity from the Tamworth Gymnastics Club have offered their expertise and experience to St Edward’s. Our Year 6 students will travel to the Tamworth Gymnastics Centre to complete their Gymnastics sessions.
The students will be split into 2 groups and have a 45 minute session each, between 11:40-1:15. The sessions will include non-locomotor skills, locomotor skills, elements of movement and composition. At no time will the children be involved in aerial somersaulting.
The dates for Year 6 Gymnastics are the following:
T4 Week 2 - 21st October | T4 Week 3 - 28th October |
T4 Week 4 - 4th November |
This is a compulsory strand in the K-6 Personal Development Health and Physical Education Curriculum; therefore each child is expected to participate. Due to the implementation of St Edward’s Sport’s Levy the cost for Gymnastics is covered in this.
Please ensure that you consent on Compass for you child to be able to participate.
Olivia Noad, Emily O'Connell, Koby Fenwick and Barry Robinson were selected to play in the U12 Northern NSW Jamboree three-day camp for Basketball on the weekend.
