Principal Reflections
A Short Message from Dr Jake
Dear Parents & Friends,
Welcome to Term 4. Hard to imagine that we have already completed 30 weeks of schooling. The final term of the school year is an exciting time and is jam packed with learning activities as well as preparing for the "end of year" celebrations. It is important that every student attends school every day during this term to make the most of their learning opportunities and to enjoy the social aspects of being with classmates.
Our Kinder cohort for 2023 begin their important transition programs. Beginning next Friday for a three week orientation and acclimatisation program, followed by the final pre-kinder assessments in Week 5, our Infants Campus will be full of fun and frivolity.
There are a number of end of year celebrations including whole school assemblies, class parties and the much anticipated school presentation night. These events provide an opportunity for everyone in the school community to come together and celebrate the year that was.
Year Six begin their long awaited transition to high school with their excursion in Week Five followed by preparation for their orientation days to high school. The final week of the year is affectionately coined "Year Six Week" with our Year Six Parent Dinner, Graduation Mass and the traditional "Pool" day rounding out their time at St Edward's.
So let's make the most of Term 4, learn as much as we can and enjoy being together at school.
As shared in previous newsletters via the General News Section, St Edward's is presenting to the world on Monday evening as part of World Education Week. If you want to participate (and support our school) please register here so you don't miss out.
Catch you at the inaugural P&F Colour Run tomorrow afternoon!
Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us as we are only too happy to help.
Peace & Best Wishes
Dr Jake Madden
