Good Afternoon Families of OLSC

Enjoy the Long Weekend

Good afternoon families of OLSC

As in past years the school will not be open on Monday 31st October being Melbourne cup eve.  The staff are taking this day as report writing.  I hope you all manage to enjoy the extra long weekend and we will see you all back at school on Wednesday 2nd November.   For those attending the races or having a little bet I wish you the best of luck!

Library Closed for Renovation

This message is for all of the families that utilise the Manor Lakes library.  We have been

advised that the library will be closed for renovations from Monday 31st October and will reopen in mid-December.   There will be a small and temporary library space housed in the foyer although we have been asked for those families that use the library as a waiting space for late collection after school that this can not occur.  See below for full details from Manor Lakes Library.

What is happening?

Manor Lakes Library will be undergoing some necessary renovations, including new lighting, carpets and painting. These upgrades are important to the amenity of the library, so that customers can continue to enjoy a welcoming, comfortable environment when visiting.

To ensure the safety of the public during these works, the library will be temporarily closed.

When is this happening?

Monday 31 October until mid-December.

During this period there will be a pop-up library in the foyerfrom Thursday 3 November.

There will be no programs or services between Monday 31 October to Wednesday 2 November

More information on the library upgrade is available through the link below:

There is before and after school care available through Quantin Binnah and can be booked through: qb@qbcc.org.au

Families not Returning in 2023

We currently have a waiting list for placement at OLSC in all year levels.  If you are not planning to return to OLSC in 2023 please let the office know as soon as possible.

Some family friends of current enrolments have sought enrolment at OLSC and unfortunately all non-catholic families will be placed on a waiting list until we finalise numbers.

Sports Centre Update

Our Sports Centre is due to officially open next week.  The floor is completed and the touches are being added to complete the repairs (wall coating and door trims).

St Andrew's Parish Ball / Dinner Dance

The St Andrew's dinner dance is making a come back after following the end to COVID

restrictions.  The theme of the eveing is Spring Racing Carnival and includes a buffet dinner with the ticket price.  It will be held on Saturday the 26th November.  You can contact the parish office for more information and tickets.  I am sure if we get enough people to turn up we can encourage Father Albert, Father Jossy and Father Anton to do the limbo!

It's Now Time for Hats

Reminder - It is now a requirement that all students have a school hat each day in order to play outside.  School hats are available at the office should you require a new one.  Please ensure that your child wears a school hat throughout the duration of Term 4.

Have a great long weekend and enjoy the extra days of having no alarm! See you next week.
