Happy Monday from the P&F Committee.
Firstly, I would like to say what a wonderful weekend it was celebrating the much-anticipated ‘St. Fidelis Family Pizza/Pasta Night’. It was SO GREAT seeing our beautiful community gather together and even more great seeing the happiness on our children’s faces as they danced the evening away. Please see below for further comments relating to this event. Still to come, the ‘St. Fidelis Christmas Carol Night’ so SAVE THE DATE!
Icy Pole Fridays – Every Friday, Icy Poles $1 each
Loose Change Drive - Commences start of term 4, ends Thursday 1st December.
Christmas Carol Night – Thursday, December 15th
St. Fidelis Community Day – Sunday 26th March 2023
Lunch Order Day – TBA via SkoolBag App
Uniform Stall – TBA via SkoolBag App
Every Friday, all students can purchase an icy pole at lunchtime for ONLY $1. Students simply need to line up, pay for, and collect their icy poles from the designated areas. We thank you in advance for your support with this fundraiser AND may the icy poles bring on the sunny weather!
“Pretty much everyone has a handful of loose change just hanging around at home. Why not give those lonely coins a purpose and send them along to school with your child? Each class competes to see who can raise the most money from the start of term 4 until the end. At the end of the drive, the funds are collected for the school and the winning class will be awarded a pizza lunch.”
In each class, there is a money jar for students to add their coins, at the conclusion of the event the P&F will count the TOTAL money raised peer class and announce the winning group. Children are welcome to contribute as little OR as many COINS as they like, daily OR weekly… There are no rules… so Start Collecting AND Good Luck to Each Class!
To finish off the year, the P&F invites you and your family to attend the end of year Christmas Carols Night. The evening will commence at 5:30 pm, with carols at 7 pm, followed by an 8:30 pm finish. At the event, there will be Christmas craft activities, simple entertainment, the annual Christmas raffle, and a sausage sizzle. We recommend you BYO ‘other food’ and non-alcoholic beverages, a picnic rug and/or chairs for seating. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
On Sunday 26th March 2023, St. Fidelis will be hosting a ‘Community Day’. It will run from 12 pm – 4 pm and be comprised of FOUR MAJOR COMPONENTS:
As you could imagine, the P&F committee alongside the school administration has already begun planning for this event. It is an important event as we are hoping to gain future student enrolments, fundraise for the school and as usual, celebrate our school community. In anticipation of this event, we need YOUR ASSISTANCE in the following way/s:
We look forward to helping Manuela host this community day and we know that with your support, this will again prove to be another successful fundraising event for the school with the bonus of ‘bragging’ our wonderful school to the wider community.
As mentioned above, this event was a HUGE SUCCESS and the P&F is so grateful that all our planning, time and effort paid off. I would like to shout out a HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents and friends committee members who spent hours of their time assisting with planning, set-up, shopping, and clean-up for the evening. As you know, being a member is voluntary and these parents take a huge chunk out of their lives to ensure that our school (particularly our children) have access to these whole school events, which are imperative in sustaining the beautiful school community we have. P&F members - there are too many of you to name, but you know who you are… THANK YOU!
Thank you also to other parents and the staff of St. Fidelis who assisted with the event. Without your extended support, it would make the job of the P&F much harder. A school event as large as this would not run as smoothly if it weren’t for the extra assistance received, so THANK YOU!
Also, THANK YOU to Ferraro Receptions for your catering, to Donut King for your sweet treats and to ‘Valentino’ who at only 12 years old, was DJ for the night. Valentino inspired our children as they witnessed the passion and drive of a young person doing what he loves most. Valentino’s DJ service is available to hire for various events and you can contact/follow him on Instagram at https://instagram.com/valbro_dj?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Last but not least, THANK YOU to the families who attended the evening with zest in your step! The evening was magical, and it was so great to see everyone mingling and children/parents dancing surrounded by lots of music and laughter. We look forward to running this event again next year. In the meantime, here are some snaps from the evening…
