Week 3 Term 4

Dear Parents and Carers, 

The Pizza and Pasta night was such a success. What an evening of fun, laughter and building of community.  It was lovely seeing families connecting, getting to know each other and bonding as a St Fidelis Community. A huge thank you to Josie  Servello, President of the Parent and Friends Committee and her amazing committee members who ensured the evening was a success for all. These events always require lots of planning and preparation and I want to thank them all for such an amazing job. We are truly lucky to have a wonderful community and people willing to give up their time.

ST FIDELIS CIRCUS PERFORMANCE EVENING - Thursday, October 20th -7:00pm

FOUNDATION 2023 SCHOOL EXPERIENCE - Number 2

We welcome the students and their families once again for School Experience Number two. This week the students had the opportunity to meet Mr Frazzetto and engage in a short STEM activity. Parents and carers listened to Vira (our Deputy Principal & Learning and teaching Leader) speak about Learning and Teaching at St Fidelis. Katie, our speech therapist, also spoke to the parents about her role at St Fidelis.  

VANDALISM 

Unfortunately, after school last week some of our classroom windows on Saunders Street were smashed by a passerby. This occurred at about 4:00 pm. Fortunately, the students had left the school for the day and the staff were not in that classroom at the time.  Police were contacted immediately and a glazier was able to replace these panelled windows that evening.

However, it came to my attention that most of the glass panels are not safety glass and needed replacing. This weekend and next, all the glass panels on that side of the building will be replaced with safety glass. The cost for this is over $10,000.00.  Once all the window panels have been replaced I would like to install some window security grilles to prevent this act of vandalism from happening again. If anyone knows of or is in the business of window grilles can you please contact me? 

SCHOOL FEES OVERDUE 

Our school does rely on school fees for many recurrent costs so prompt payment is appreciated. The final payment was due last term on SEPTEMBER 16TH. The school has an outstanding amount of  $87,000.00 in fees!

If you are on a  payment plan there is no need to contact me, however, if you are not on a plan, your fees are overdue and prompt payment is required and would be greatly appreciated.

The office is open from 8:30 to 4:00pm each day if you would like to pay in person. 

Please use the Direct Debit bank details below. If any families need to discuss alternative arrangements for the payment of fees, please contact me directly.
