Years 3–6 Athletics Carnival – what a fun day!
We had such a fantastic day at our recent Years 3–6 Athletics Carnival. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and bright colours, and spirited participation across all year levels involved. See more photos in our online gallery here.
As we like to remind our students, you don't have to be an 'athletic superstar' to enjoy the carnival – you just have to put your best foot forward, smile and have a go!
The event always finishes with our House relays. This year, we had an additional entry in the Year 5 category. Mr Shurley, Miss Siggers, Miss Palmer and Mrs Fountain formed a formidable team to take the students on – it was certainly the highlight of the day.
Bragging rights belong to our staff team, pictured here, who came away with the win!

Southern SATIS stars shine
Well done to all students who participated in the Southern SATIS Carnival on Tuesday 6 September.
We had some amazing individual and team achievements: SMC took home the Aggregate Shield (Years 7-12) and finished second in the Junior Shield (Years 7-10).
A special shout out must also go to the Year 10s who won the U16 Age Group Pennant.
All athletes should be commended on the way they not only represented St Mary's, but also actively demonstrated our Presentation values.
These values were reflected in the way in which our students competed, as well as offering to help out throughout the day and supporting fellow athletes, which was so good to see.
