Dear Families, 

I hope that you all  enjoyed your long weekend and found valuable time to enjoy family and friends! The cold snap continues, along with various bugs, so be vigilant  in monitoring the health of your children! 

This week we welcome back Kristina Khoo who will teach 3/4GK on Monday and Tuesday and 3/4HK on Friday. 

Fundraiser - Pyjama Day 

Yesterday our students ensured that they were appropriately rugged up for our Pyjama Day! Thank you for entering into the spirit of the day and supporting our fundraiser for St Joseph's. Our Fundraiser for St Joseph's finishes this Friday and yesterday an extra $792.90 was raised!   To date, SJV has raised a whopping $1807.85!! 

Today Coles Springvale donated $200.00 to our fundraising efforts.

Any final donations of Coles or Woolworths Vouchers or money can be sent with your child. 

Mr Ru, our Family Engagement Leader will detail the final amounts raised in next week's newsletter.

Year 6 Camp Dates & Parent Meeting 

The Year 6 Camp to Phillip Island Adventure Resort will take place from Tuesday, July 12th - Friday, July 15th. This is the first week of Term 3.

A Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, June 16th in the Performing Arts area at 2:30 pm. 

It would be important to have a parent from each family attend. 

PLEASE ENSURE ALL PERMISSION FORMS ARE RETURNED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

In the interim, any questions about school camp can be directed to the class teacher or Camp Coordinator Tony Nguyen.   

 Semester 1 School Reports 

Our Semester 1 school Reports will be sent home electronically tomorrow Thursday 16th June. 

Information was sent out on Tuesday. 

Parent-Teacher Interviews (June)

The Term 2 Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on:

TUESDAY 21st June 3:30pm - 6:30pm 

WEDNESDAY 22nd June 1:45pm - 8pm.

Please note that on Wednesday 22nd June the students will be dismissed at 1:10 pm.

We are providing  online or face-face interviews but please note: 

INTERVIEWS go for 10 minutes 

TUESDAY 21st -  online

WEDNESDAY  22nd - face to face

Please ensure you have booked a time. 

Bookings for online meetings have opened and will close on Friday 17th June at 4pm

Prep 2023  Sibling Interviews 

 Prep 2023 Interviews  will take place next  Monday 20th June.  Information about booking details was sent home yesterday. Bookings  close on Friday 17th June at 4PM. The purpose of these  meetings  is to welcome and build a profile of your child.  The meetings will go for about 20 minutes.  Your child will meet with a  member of the staff  Leadership. Please ensure you come to the front office reception with your child for their meeting. 

Community - School Parish Event 

We will have a Community Event on Saturday, October 22nd!!   But we need  a committee with school representation.  If not this won't go ahead!

'COMMUNITY EVENT SCHOOL & PARISH'

Fundraiser  for St Joseph's Murwillumbah South 

 THANK YOU SO MUCH to the families who have very generously made a donation for the St Josephs Community who suffered flood damage earlier this year and previously in 2017. Donations will go toward Woolworths or Coles vouchers which we will send to the school.  

Families are able to purchase a Voucher or bring some money which can go toward the purchase of a voucher. 

LAST DAY FOR DONATIONS IS FRIDAY 17TH JUNE 

Class Masses - this week 5/6IT

This Friday we have 5/6IT class who will lead us in our whole school Mass celebration.  Parents and grandparents are welcome to join our students, staff and parishioners.  We invite parents to join us for a morning tea in the staff room after Mass. If cooking food, please list all ingredients. NO NUTS FRESH CREAM etc 

IF YOUR CHILD IS RUNNING LATE PLEASE BRING THEM TO THE OFFICE TO SIGN IN BEFORE TAKING THEM TO THE CHURCH

Term 2 concludes at 2:30 pm on Friday 24th June

Term 3 begins at 8:50 am on Monday, July 12th
