Old Scholars' footy is back!

The Blackfriars Old Scholars Football Club opens the season this Saturday with a home game at St Dominic’s Oval against Lockleys.

Under the guidance of new head coach, Nathan Grainger, and with the returning group of players, bolstered by some handy new recruits, there is a feeling of excitement and optimism within the group for season 2018.

There will be bar, BBQ and canteen facilities available with a day at the local footy always a great day out. We are hoping for a big crowd donning the Black and Blue and invite everyone to come down, check out the action and support the boys.

We are also always looking for more support if anyone is keen to get involved as a regular or semi-regular volunteer for a great community club. It is rewarding and feels great to directly contribute to the growth of community sport so if you are interested please make yourself know to the school or officials at the club on Saturday.
