A message from the P&F President

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all settling into the school routine and enjoying term 1. 

On the 11th February, the P&F held our first event - the Prep Family Welcome BBQ.  We hope those who attended had a lovely evening.  A big thank you to Cindy and Fay for organising this event and to the lovely volunteers for assisting on the night. 

On the 17th February, the first P&F meeting was held for the year. It was great to see some new faces, discuss various topics and set the timeline of P&F activities for the year. Thank you to those who attended. The minutes were distributed to parents via CareMonkey and are also attached:

Some of the upcoming events to pencil into your diary are as follows:

Hot cross buns - Friday 27th March 8:30-9am, a request for volunteers has been emailed via CareMonkey

Card making night - Monday 4th May 7pm

Mother’s Day stall - Thursday 7th May 8:45am - 3:15pm

Term 2 P&F meeting - Monday 11th May 7pm

School Disco - Friday 24th July 5 - 8:15pm

Term 3 P&F meeting - Monday 27th July 7pm

Card making night - Monday 31st August 7pm

Father’s Day stall - Thursday 3rd September 8:45am - 3:15pm

Colour explosion - Friday 16th October 5pm onwards

Term 4 P&F meeting and AGM - Monday 26th October 7pm

Other upcoming events with dates to be confirmed - Movie Night for families (term 2); major raffle (term 3); Mother’s Day and Father’s Day social events to be confirmed.

We understand that it can be hard to attend meetings or put your hand up to organise an event, however, the success of each of these events requires many volunteers to assist with the planning, setup, running the event on the day and packing up. Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, means it’s easier for everyone involved. Some events are during the day and others in the evening. So if you would like to assist with any event, please let a member of the P&F committee know and we will direct you to the organiser for the event. Also remember that if you are wanting to assist, please ensure that your Working with Children Card is current and with you during the event. 

I hope you all enjoy the last few weeks of Term 1 and have an enjoyable Easter break.
