Prep 12 were reading Meanies Night Out this week, and we decided to have our very own Night Out in the classroom! The students created their own money to buy tickets to the movies and were lucky enough to enjoy some freshly popped popcorn! The experience created a great opportunity for a sea of talk in our classroom.

5-5  Term 3 Travel Expo

Throughout our term 3 inquiry unit ‘Think Global, Act Local’, we have been learning about the sustainability, weather (including natural disasters) and the cost of living across Australia and around the world. Students worked to represent a country at the ‘Travel Expo’ on Friday the 13th of September. It was their job to decide the best ways to present information at their stall to convince visitors to plan a holiday in their country. Students have gained insight into cultural events, specific cuisines and the types of weather they would expect in their country.
