Principal's Message

What a wonderful evening of musical talent and good old fashioned fun we enjoyed last night. If you were at the concert, you will know what I mean. I can’t give too much away though, as we have one more night and the “show must go on”. Congratulations to our kids and a special thank you to our community for your great support of events like the concert. We know that if the kids are involved you will “come out in droves”.

I will take the opportunity to thank our Concert committee members for their undying enthusiasm for, and commitment to, making this year’s concert a success for our kids. Congratulations and thank you to Mrs Lauren Batty, Ms Tenille Webb, Ms Stephanie White, Ms Emma Wallmeyer, Ms Stephanie Hughes, Mrs Diana Mitrevski, Mr Simon La Rocca, Mrs Angelique Loverso, Mrs Ashleigh Thomas, Ms Laura White, Ms Nixon and Ms Marg Gardner.

What a wonderful team they made. Thank you also to all the staff who helped make props, organise music, write scripts, run kids through their rehearsals, organise the sale and distribution of tickets, work in the technician’s booth for the performances and load and unload the horse float which we used to transport our props to Plenty Ranges. Although concerts carry an extra workload, we love seeing the kids shine. Congratulations to all our performers, including our 3PPP radio hosts and the characters who called in from around the world. What a wonderful way to celebrate all that hard work and learning.

We wish Mrs Julie Windsor all the best for her long service leave for the first two weeks of term 4. We hope she has a wonderful holiday. Thank you to Mrs Robyn Favrin for covering some of Julie’s role during her absence.

Bu Sarjit Ladd will also be taking long service leave during this time and will be travelling to Malaysia. Mr Mark Anderson has been employed to continue our Languages program.

For those of you who knew Emily Windisch, you will also know it is the anniversary of our loss of Emily on October 03, which is during the holidays. We plan to plant a tree in term 4 in remembrance of Emily’s commitment to our kids, as part of the changes to the Ruang building and surrounding area. We will let everyone know so that if you would like to be there, you are most welcome.

We are looking forward to another thoroughly enjoyable concert tonight and then a holiday to rest and recover! Take care over the holidays and return rested and relaxed for term 4.
