Our Fortnight in Review

Another busy fortnight here at OSHC! Students have shown a lot of persistence and patience when creating their hama bead crafts! Lila W (2C) and Rose S (2A) enjoyed the sun with a picnic on the oval.

On Curriculum Day, students enjoyed dressing up and taking unlimited photos in the photobooth whilst April B (PC), Saihaj S (4B) and Charlotte R (3A) enjoyed making special necklaces.

New Breakfast ‘Company’ at OSHC

Following on from our article last fortnight about the ‘Wednesday Honey’s’, this fortnight I would like to introduce Eddie Oxlade who has created the ‘Friday Pancakes’ company! Similar to the ‘Wednesday Honey’s’, Eddie and his team have developed menus and ‘specials’ and have written an article below to tell you a little about the 'Friday Pancakes'.

There are now two breakfast companies at OSHC, the ‘Wednesday Honeys’ (WH) and the ‘Friday Pancakes’ (FP)!  This new company will be teaming up with the 'WH', the staff being, Libby, Sienna, Sophia and Tash!  The ‘FP’ work days being Monday’s and of course Fridays! Every time the Pancakes work, there will be a ‘Manners of the Day’ with great prizes, a little similar to ‘Customer of the Week' (this week it was Olivia W). We have one available spot on our team; if your child goes to OSHC on a Friday and wants to be part of our team, please come and chat with me!  Our staff members so far:

  • Eddie - work days: every day
  • Aaliyah - work days: every day
  • Mia - work days: Monday
  • Orson - work days: Friday.

The ‘WH’ have a slogan which is 'when you wake up think honeys!' however the ‘FP’ don’t so if anyone has any suggestions please come and tell us.

Kind regards

Eddie Oxlade

Parent Breakfast - 3 April

We understand that mornings can be super rushed with many of you needing to quickly catch public transport into work. The ‘Wednesday Honey’s’ and the ‘Friday Pancakes’ would like to invite parents to a special ‘on the go’ parent breakfast next Wednesday 3 April.

We will be serving takeaway croissants, coffee/tea/hot milo, and of course the famous ‘cheesey squeezy’ (toasted sandwich). We look forward to seeing you there!

2018 - 2019 Family Survey

At Beaumaris North OSHC we take pride in our education and care program, ensuring that it is responsive to the needs, strengths and participation of children and families. It is our aim to consistently provide the best possible outcomes for your child. We engage in regular reflection to review our program and practices, ensuring that we incorporate current research and innovation into the care we provide. We strongly encourage family involvement in this process, including your values, beliefs, thoughts and ideas in relation to what you feel is important for your child.

We would like your feedback on what you think we do well and how we can improve and invite you to CLICK/TAP HERE to take part in our survey  by 23.30pm on Friday 5 April. Please note that all responses are anonymous and participation in this survey is voluntary - you may withdraw from the survey at any stage.

The survey is structured in relation to the 7 areas of the National Quality Standards to ensure we are driving continuous improvement according to these standards as set by ACECQA. Please CLICK/TAP HERE for more information.

Quote of the Fortnight

“If you’ve told a child a thousand times, and the child still has not learned, then it is not the child who is the slow learner.” – Walter. B. Barbe
