Year 7 Acrostic Poems

This week in English class, my year 7 class wrote acrostic poems about 'Respect' and what it means to show others respect. I was extremely proud of 7D and the thought they put into this task. In particular, I would like to congratulate the students' whose work has featured below; Atonio T., Leo X., Sam C., Luke E., and Charlotte K.

Year 7 Biopoems

As part of the year 7 English curriculum, students spend the last weeks of term three looking at different styles of poetry as well as a variety of language features in order to be able to incorporate these into their own poems.

Students in 7J & 7F began by looking at Bio poems.

A bio poem is a simple poem written about a person, and it follows a predictable pattern. Bio poems generally don't rhyme, and they can be autobiographical or biographical.
