2019 Victorian Schools Music Festival

Congratulations to our bands who entered the Victorian Schools Music Festival this year. For the first time this year, Doncaster Secondary College entered four bands, with one performing in November with Soundworks. The results were as follows;

Concert Band – Gold Award

 

Senior Jazz – Silver Award

 

Junior Jazz – Silver Award

 

 

 

Wind Symphony – Silver Award

Thank you to all the Music students for all their practice and attendance at rehearsals and to all the Music Staff (Mr Brodie, Mr Dillon, Mrs Howes, Mr Ondaatje, Mr O’Connell, Mr Rowlands and Mr Sheers) for preparing them so well and getting them to the festival and home safely. Thank you also to Ms McGee for attending the Wind Symphony performance, your time is greatly appreciated.

VCE Music Soiree

Spring Concert coming up in Term 4

Tuesday, 22 October at 7 pm.

Students must arrive at 6:30 pm in full school uniform. NO sports uniforms, spray, soft shell or VCE Jackets.  All Music students are required to attend as it is their major assessment for the semester.

 

It is a fantastic way for friends and families to see all the hard work the Music students have done throughout the year.  Come and hear our Gold and Silver Award winning bands. Tickets will be available early Term 4.
