From Google Maps to GPS systems, spatial science is everywhere and is relied on for information about where things are, and how they are related. Gain specialised knowledge to meet the needs of a booming industry.  This degree will prepare you to play an important role in collecting, managing, analysing, and interpreting data to meet the needs of agricultural, environmental, emergency and transportation industries.

Geospatial scientists develop and manage geographic information systems in a diverse range of exciting areas, including:

  • land administration and reform
  • urban planning
  • subdivision planning
  • infrastructure management
  • natural resource monitoring and development
  • coastal zone management and mapping
  • disaster informatics for disaster risk reduction and response
  • weather forecasting.

The entry requirements for entry into this degree are: successful completion of an Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4 with a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL, and Units 3 and 4 with a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.  The anticipated ATAR is mid-70’s.
