Year Six News

The Year Six students were so fortunate to host their very first online incursion. As we have been studying amazing biomes around the globe, it was so exciting to hear of Dr Jenny Martin's story of her Antarctic expedition last year. Her photos of stunning bluey-white icebergs covered in penguin pathways, and videos of orcas rolling in the water and seals jousting each other, were just awe-inspiring. Heartfelt thanks to Jen for jumping on board and making this biome seem so real for all of us. The students asked so many wonderful questions; I'm certain a few would love to follow in her footsteps and study zoology. By Jen's warning, we need all the future scientists we can gather to start action to protect delicate and precious environments such as that of the mighty Antarctic region.
