Year Two News

Room 19

The children in Room 19 last term worked very hard on their own narrative. They chose one of the characters and had to create a puppet of their choice.  They began by investigating at the computer lab to find out about different types of puppets. After researching they choose one type to make. The design stage began with a procedure, using explicit steps to produce the puppet. The classroom was turned upside down with materials, paint, clay, hot glue guns, and many, many googly eyes. After a lot of problem-solving with the materials they had chosen, each evaluated their final product. All children read their narrative using their puppet and everyone showed their appreciation for each other’s hard work.

Room 21

Students in Room 21 are learning about feelings in Health this term. We played a board game and shared stories with our partner about when we experienced that feeling.
