Middle School Report
Welcome back to Term 3. The Middle School will continue to offer support to all students and their families with managing learning remotely. Please reach out to your Year Level Coordinator should you need help with any aspect of learning from home.
This term will be a busy one for students in both Year 9 and Year 10 with a focus on careers and pathways for 2021. Year 10 students continue their work on their course counselling assignments and are preparing for the course counselling day in Week 3. The VCE and VCAL information evenings were a great success, and we thank you all for your support and attendance in the Google Meet sessions.
Year 9s will not have a pre-course counselling assignment to complete this year due to the need to adapt to remote learning once more, but Year Level Coordinators are spending time with their classes to explain the process of course selection.

Year 10 into 11 Course Counselling – Thursday 30th July
Year 9 into 10 Course Counselling – Tuesday 4th August
Students have received an appointment time when they will meet with either their Year Level Coordinator or a member of the careers team in a Google Meet. During this time, students will discuss their subject choices for 2021. There are no timetabled classes on these days, and students are only required to log on to Google Meet for their appointment. Appointment times have been posted on Compass and shared with students by their Year Level Coordinator.
Supports In Place
A member of the Middle School team will be available in a Google Meet every lunch time between 12.45 and 1.15 for students and parents to drop in should you have any questions, concerns or simply want to say hello.
Students are also encouraged to email their Year Level Coordinator or the Middle Sub School team if they are in need of any support. The transition back to remote learning is challenging for many students and their families, but it is one that we know you will manage with perseverance and enthusiasm.
We wish all Year 9 and 10 students a successful term, and look forward to continuing our work with you all both online and on site when we are able to return.
