Temperature checks

In order to support community awareness of the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) and to help identify children displaying symptoms, all schools located in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will continue temperature screening of students while the Stay at Home restrictions are in place. This is an important public health measure to promote awareness of symptoms associated with coronavirus (COVID-19) and to ensure that unwell students remain at home.  All students  will receive a temperature screen every morning before starting school.  The temperature screening will be conducted using non-contact infrared thermometers. Written consent is not required as the process is non-intrusive.  Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Updating Medical Records

Please ensure your child's medication is up to date.

The Department of Education requires School Asthma Action Plans and Anaphylaxis Plans to be updated annually. Existing and newly diagnosed Asthmatics must have an Asthma Action plan (available from the School Office). Please complete this form and return to school as soon as possible.   A doctor`s signature is required.  Anaphylaxis Plans are obtained through the doctor also.

If your child no longer requires an asthma plan can you please notify Audrey.

MEDICAL AUTHORISATIONS

If your child requires medication during school hours you must complete a Medication Authorisation Form. These can be obtained from the front office. The medication must be brought to the office before school.

Please note wherever possible, medication should be scheduled outside school hours, e.g. medication required three times daily is generally not required during a school day - it can be taken before and after school and before bed.

Students are not permitted to carry any medication in their schoolbags or self-administer any medication.

Thank you for your support with helping us to manage student medical needs.
