Year 11 Student Reflections
Unit 1 VCE Computing By Thomas Hubeek and Nathan Lambert
Both of us have a keen interest in the field of Information Technology; so with this new VCE Computing study design it allows us to excel in what we have an interest in. Recently, we were tasked with our Unit 1 Outcome 1 assessment, which was an investigation. It involved research and data gathering and concluded with an infographic. These graphical solutions inform fellow students about a particular topic, such as ‘How Strong is Your Password’ or display interesting statistics, such as the ‘Most Popular Gaming Console/Device’. A snapshot of these can be found below. We are now moving into the area of Networking, learning about what goes into designing a network and how to maintain a secure one. We are building towards our next task, which will be to design and create a secure network. We are living in a world surrounded by technology and it's constantly evolving, so with this new updated study design it allows us to stay up to date with the rapidly changes field of technology.
