German

During German lessons this semester, Fisher students will participate in structured and collaborative tasks which reinforce and extend their vocabulary and language skills.  Every lesson provides opportunities to read, write, listen and speak.  Initially we will be working with the theme ‘Guten Appetit’ (language relating to food, drinks and eating) to make statements, exchange information and express ideas and feelings.  Students will be listening and speaking, reading and responding, creating texts and working with online learning tools. Students will continue to develop dictionary skills and work with interactive websites to practice vocabulary and build confidence.  We will move from this theme into a look at German Christmas traditions, in particular the Weihnachtsmarkt – German Christmas market.
