Book Fair

SUCH EXCITEMENT!!! Huge smiles and lots of "look Mrs Blackburn!"  Our students are loving the hype of the book fair! We went and checked out the books and posters and we are very excited!!

We have also just had a visit from The Cranky Bear!!! There were lots of hugs for Cranky Bear!  It's lovely to see their passion for literacy as we talk about the books that we love and why.  Its' really important that we make reading a fun and enjoyable experience for both you and your child.

I look forward to hearing our students share their stories about the books they read.

News

We have begun News as part of our

Speaking and Listening sessions within Litearcy.  We are loving seeing our students sit in front of an audience and speak about their own personal experiences and stories.  A notice will be sent home with correct dates and topics for the weeks remaining this term.

Depending on which house colour your child is when will depend on when they get to participate in sharing news.

In the week beginning Monday 7th March the school nurse, Jody, will be here to visit students who have returned their (confidential) information pack.

Congrats!

We would like to say just how much of a fantastic job our students are doing as they are establishing their school routine.  It's lovely to see their enthusiasim when changing take home books and sharing their knowledge of golden and magic words.  Thanks to our families for dedicating time to support their child's development.  Don't forget you can log onto Reading Eggs and Mathletics at home.  Your childs' log on details is attached to their black take home bag.  We love celebrating each students' achievements both at home and at school!

Our visit with the Life Education Van is on Friday 11th March.  I'm looking forward to seeing our students learn about good and bad medicines and safe choices.
