A great start to 2020!

Welcome to a new year in the Instrumental Music Program!  We have been overwhelmed by the enrolments from not only Year 7 students, but from new students in Years 8 -12 too. What a fantastic start to the year!

We still have some places available in our woodwind, brass, violin and piano programs and waiting lists for guitar, voice and percussion.  Please see Ms Goode or Ms Cumming in the PAC for enrolment forms or to be included on our waiting lists.

This year we welcome our new brass teacher, Per Forsberg, after Kent Fisk’s retirement at the end of 2019. Per has a wealth of experience both in Australia and overseas and he promises to be a most inspirational teacher at LHS.

Past student, Celeste Wells has also come on board, as our new flute teacher and will also be helping Bronwyn Ventura out with the LHS Band. Welcome Per and Celeste!

On Friday 8 February, the Year 12 Music students performed on the deck at lunchtime to a very receptive and enthusiastic crowd. We look forward to more of these lunchtime concerts throughout the year.

Our Ensembles, Rookie and LHS Bands will also commence rehearsals in the next couple of weeks at lunchtimes.  Please check Compass for which day students need to bring their instruments.
