FRENCH STUDENTS VISIT
Welcome BBQ lunch - Tuesday 11 February
On Monday 10 February, we welcomed the arrival of 26 students and 2 teachers from our sister school le Lycée Darchicourt, in northern France.
The students will be staying with their host families until Wednesday 26 February.
Lots of wonderful activities are planned for the students to enjoy whilst in Melbourne.
Here are some of their first impressions of LHS and Australia:
🦘🐨The trip to Australia that I have been waiting for 9 months is finally here, despite some doubts and excellent direction. I discovered new infrastructures, a new way of life, new school functions and a wonderful family.
I've only been here 3 days and I feel like in an American movie, I feel like it's not real, that I'm dreaming. All is more beautiful, big and impressive. There's nature everywhere, it's really pretty.
The school is traditional from the country and I love it, then it's impressive because there are reptiles in the high school.
The canteen is not the same, even the classes are more free, than in France. Australians eat early compared to my country. They eat about at 6:30 p.m.
This trip can not only enrich my English skills, but also myself, to stay alone with strangers so I manage on my own, by getting out of my comfort zone. I feel like I'm integrated and I'm happy to be able to spend another 15 days in Australia.

When I arrived in Australia, I couldn't believe I was there at last. The first day was so hard because we were very tired, but I could meet my Australian friend and his family, they are so nice.
The Australian culture is very different than the French culture, the hair style, the daily habits, the school. This is a beautiful country!

Okay, so when we arrived in Australia, I was so tired! It was so exciting to meet my 'correspondent'. The school is very cool. I want it in France. The country is very beautiful and very very very hot!
After I met my host family, they are very cool, we laugh and talk about everything and compare somethings, between France and Australia. I'm very happy!

My first day in Australia was pretty cool. The family, the school etc are incredible.
The second day was better, because I could finally sleep normally and walking around the lake and play in the water, was very wonderful!

On Tuesday at lunchtime, our French Sister School students enjoyed an AUSSIE BBQ lunch with their host students.
