Mount Macedon Fungi Excursion
3-4 wrote recount paragraphs of their experiences on the fungi excursion. Here are a few examples:
Chess Tournament
Last Monday the students of Newham went to a chess tournament in Bundoora. It was fun, challenging and we definitely pushed a LOT of limits! Teddy, the second youngest player, explained “I’ve only been playing chess for two years so it was a great experience.” If you want to try this too, Chess Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the 'schools out' room. - Lewis Pape
Special thanks to Liz for transportation, and Liz and Richard for supervision on the day. Well done Newham PS chess team, we're really proud of you!
Easter Hunt and Raffle Draw
To celebrate the last day of term there was an egg hunt. We limited the risk of animals ingesting unfound chocolate by hiding paper eggs. When found, these were taken to be traded in for a chocolate egg and some bubbles!
Mrs Wood and Madame Lee held the raffle draw and below are the very happy winners!
Have a lovely Easter, try not to eat it all at once!
Thank you to all our families.
Together we raised $647.00 towards Literacy and Numeracy here at NPS.
