Water Polo

Congratulations to Year 11 student, Jack Piggott, who has been selected in the NSWCCC Open Boys Water Polo team to play in the NSW All Schools tournament in July.

Jack traveled to the Ryde Aquatic Centre in Sydney last week for trials. Players were assigned cap numbers and placed in teams. After a series of trials covering swimming skills and games against each team, players were selected for the NSWCCC team. Well done, Jack and we wish you well for the All Schools competition.

Under15 Soccer Gala Day

On Friday 28th April, the Combined Wagga High Schools U15 Soccer Gala Day was held at Rawlings Park.

The girls played Kooringal HS first up, making a strong start, with Freya Rudd scoring the only goal of the game. The second game was against Mater Dei CC and ended 0-0. The final group game saw the girls get a 2-0 win against TRAC with Olivia Saboisky scoring both goals. Kildare progressed through to the final and played TRAC again. In a strong performance, Kildare won 2-0 with Freya scoring both goals.

Congratulations to the girls on winning the day.

The boys played TRAC in their first game of the day. Cohen Fields scored in the opening minutes but unfortunately Kildare went down 3-1. The second game against Mater Dei CC was almost an exact repeat of the earlier game. Cohen Fields scored Kildare’s only goal in a 3-1 loss. In the first round of the finals, Kildare once again had to play TRAC. It was an extremely close game with Kildare unfortunately going down 2-1 with another Cohen Field goal. Kildare then played against Mater Dei CC for third position and came away with a 3-3 draw. Diyar Aliko, Ethan Barrell, and Zac Wilde were the goal scorers in the final match. Kildare was awarded third position for the day due to the opening goal being scored by KCC.
