Cultural Studies News

The BMGS Cultural Studies Department is looking for families to host students from Japan in Term 3 of this year.
Evans Sensei and I are pleased to announce the recommencement of the School’s sister city agreement with the city of Nagoya.
In Term 3, week 2 of this year, the School will be hosting 20 student representatives from Nagoya and we are looking for families to help us out.
They will be in the Mountains from the Tuesday, 25th July to Friday, 28th July (4 nights) and leave Saturday, 29th July.
We have developed a rich history with these schools which has also seen our students also being hosted by families when we have visited Japan (an event that is being currently considered for mid-2024 TBC).
This is an amazing opportunity for our school community, especially our students.
Please note your child doesn’t have to be studying Japanese to participate in this.
If you are interested in hosting a student, could you please send me an email at tforsyth@bmgs.nsw.edu.au to share your details and interest. If you can host more than one student, please note this in your email.
