St A's Sport Report

Sports Report

To kick off Term 2, we would like to recognise some of our St A’s Superstars who have achieved some amazing results over the past few weeks.

Firstly, we would like to acknowledge some of our 5-6 students who have recently attended the School Sports Victoria trials for Football and Basketball.

On a cold and windy day, Ben Howden, Freddie La Fontaine and Will Thorn took to the field to showcase their skills against some of the best junior footballers in the area.

They represented our school extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Congratulations to Ben Howden who has managed to make it through to the next stage of the trials.

We also would like to congratulate Marqus Chunga for his efforts at the Basketball trials and for making it through to the next event. We look forward to following you and hearing about your experience. Great job to all involved!

In other news, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of Albert La Fontaine who took out the combined event at Frankston Athletics for the fourth year in a row! Albert is also a state representative who is known for his impressive skills in the Long Jump. We look forward to watching you at the Bayside District Athletics over the course of Term 2.

To begin our 5/6 Winter Sport Season, we took on Bayside Christian College (AWAY) in Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Mixed AFL, Girls Netball and Mixed Netball.

The 5/6s should be commended for their sportsmanship and teamwork demonstrated on the day, which lead to some great results across the board.

The competition will continue over the next 4-5 weeks, finishing in a district Lightning Premiership Day.

If you see any of our 5/6s competing, cheer them on and wish them good luck!

This week we take on St Johns (AWAY).
