Reconciliation Week Mass

The Bunurong Catholic School cluster warmly invites you to participate in our first combined schools mass.

This will be a hope-filled celebration as we pray together for healing and new beginnings in our nation.

Mass will be held at St John's Parish Church, Coral St Frankston East on Sunday 28th May at 10:00 am.

Please see the flyer below for further details.

Holy Week Whole School Commemoration

The last day of Term 1 was Holy Thursday. To begin out Holy Week, the whole school joined together to sing and pray.

Our Faith Leaders and School Captains Evie, Jack, Ava, and Logan led the school community through the events of Holy Week leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus through prayer, scripture, and reflection.

Each class had prepared a song to perform and sing based on a significant event of the week.

Easter Artwork

Here are some images of artwork created by the Grade Two students in the lead-up to Easter for Holy Week and Lent.

In the Beginning

Grade One students are learning about all the wonderful things in nature that God has given us and how amazing they are. They read the picture story and listened to the song 'In the Beginning' by Andrew Chinn and made their own illustrations. Here are some of their pictures.

ANZAC Liturgy

Thank you to Kevin Hillier OAM and our school captains for leading us in our ANZAC Day commemoration liturgy this year.

Class Mass

This week we began holding our fortnightly class masses. 3/4TW lead us in a lovely mass with the theme of Easter - Jesus has risen.

Masses will be held every fortnight on the alternate week to assembly. Please see the key dates for when your child's class will be attending mass. All families are welcome.

Mini Vinnies

Last Term and over the holidays, the Mini Vinnies students ran a colouring competition to raise money for Caritas and Project Compassion.

Congratulations to our three winners, Eva H, Layla T and Charlie G! All entries were amazing, and thankyou to everyone for supporting the cause!

Sacrament Preparation

Today our students preparing to receive their First Eucharist were given their booklets to be signed as they attend their masses in preparation. We keep these students in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare to make this next step on their faith journey.

Grade six families were also sent home an Operoo to indicate their intent for their child to make their Sacrament of Confirmation later this year. If you have not done so, could you please respond to this ASAP.
