Principal's Report

Dear St A's Community,

Can you believe we are already at the end of Week 2! What a start to the term we have had! It has been great to see the students settling back into their daily routines and actively engaging in their learning.  We started the term with  an ANZAC Liturgy led by our Year 6 Leaders. It was a beautiful way to begin our day remembering and honouring those who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war and peace keeping operations.

We are delighted to welcome Hamish, a new student to our school. Hamish joins the 3/4LT Classroom.  We hope that he enjoys his time at St A's, and that he is supported by our welcoming community.

Magic Moments

This week I have been lucky enough to spend some time in the prep classrooms.  It has been amazing to watch and see the learning and growth happening within the cohort!   I have been very impressed by their 'can do' attitude and growth mindset!

School Uniform

Term 2 is usually the time when students transition to their Winter Uniform. Over the first couple of weeks if the weather presents as being warm, families are able to make an informed decision in regard to uniform selection.  We request that students transition to their winter uniform for the commencement of Week 3, the week beginning 8th May. Students are to be dressed in the correct uniform at all times, this includes the correct socks and shoes, along with sports uniform only being worn on designated days. The mornings in particular are becoming quite cold so its important that students bring a jumper to school.  A reminder that if your child has Kitchen & Gardening a jumper and even a jacket may be required.  It can get fairly cold out in the garden!  I was out there with the Preps on Wednesday and I was freezing!!!

Lost Property

We have a number of school uniform items particularly school jumpers of various sizes in the lost property area. Families who may be missing a school jumper are asked to check the lost property area. Please remember to clearly name items so they can be returned directly to the classroom. A big thankyou to Oliver L, who kindly sorted through the lost property and returned many items to students around the school!

Mothers Day

Just a reminder that we have our Mother's Day High Tea next week!  This will be a lovely opportunity for our students and mums/mother figures to come together and enjoy some quality time.  We have 3 sittings happening!  We hope that you can join us!    SHhhhhh  we also have the Mother's Day stall happening next Thursday - please send your child to school with a shopping bag.

Thankyou to the families that have submitted their Prep enrolment forms for 2024!  Once again we have a high interest in enrolling into our Prep cohort.  If you are a current family and have not returned your forms, please do so ASAP.

Lastly we have many students in our school, who do amazing things for our school and community.  Students who continually want to help others, who want to start up initiatives, who want to be the best they can!  Be proud of your amazing kids!!!!!

God Bless, enjoy your weekend.  Stay out of the rain and remember to be kind to others!
