Term 2
Welcome Back
A huge welcome back to term two. The students have had a fantastic start to the term and are following our values and schoolwide expectations. It is great to see the enthusiasm of students and staff and we look forward to the exciting learning experiences that are ahead of us this term.
Supervision Before School at the Bundoora Campus
It is fantastic that so many parents and carers are taking advantage of the ‘drop off’ option before school. When you drive into the front driveway between 8.30-8.40am your child will be met by school staff and supervised. They will then be escorted to their play area at 8.45am when the official duty period commences.
Please note that, unless you are using this ‘drop off’ option, no students are to be at school until 8.45am. Staff are not on duty until this time and it is unsafe for students to be on the yard unsupervised.
We appreciate your cooperation regarding this matter.
Bundoora Campus Building Works
The building works at the Bundoora Campus are now gaining momentum. The base of the lift shaft is currently being completed in preparation for the laying of the concrete slab. Structural elements are being built off-site and will soon be pieced together on-site. When completed later in the year, the two-storey building with 12 classrooms will provide an optimal learning environment for our Secondary 7/8 students.
School Policy
The CCTV policy was approved by School Council earlier this week.

Wearing of School Uniform
This is a reminder that it is compulsory for all students to wear the full school uniform each day and that the school uniform policy is strictly enforced. As the weather is becoming cooler, please check to ensure that you have the correct uniform to keep your child warm.
Our Student Representative Council requested that a school beanie be made available. I’m pleased to advise that a beanie is now part of our school uniform. These are available for purchase for $25.

Principal Award - Stavros Kampouris
Stavros has had a fantastic start to the year and has constantly strived to improve himself. He has engaged in all areas of learning and is willing to give new things a go. He has such a quick wit and is full of interesting facts and talents, including speaking many languages.
This year he has joined a lunchtime basketball club, completed a work placement at Bundoora Farm and was successful in gaining a work placement at the Reject Shop.
Stavros blew us all away with t-shirts for Harry and himself that he designed for their band, ‘The Walking Shadows’. With only an hour to practice, Stavros learnt to play the keyboard and perform vocals for two songs at the section assembly. We can’t wait to see what Stavros does next!
