PE

Our goal in P.E. is to help your child develop healthy habits, improve their physical fitness, and cultivate a lifelong love of movement. Here's what we have planned for this term:

In Grades P-3, we will focus on developing their fundamental movement skills, such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, and kicking. These are the building blocks for more complex movements and sports-specific skills. We will be using a variety of fun games and activities to keep them engaged while they learn.

In Grades 4-6, we will explore various sports and games. We want to expose students to a wide range of physical activities to help them find something they enjoy and can continue doing outside of school. Some sports we will explore include basketball, tennis, volleyball, and badminton.

In addition to developing their physical skills, we will also be emphasizing the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. We will work on communication skills, encourage each other, and celebrate our successes as a group.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish our 48 students representing the school at the Division Cross Country in week 2 the very best of luck.

In week 3, we have two exciting events for our students to look forward to. Firstly, we have the Athletics Carnival for Grades 4-6. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their athletic abilities and compete against their peers in a fun and supportive environment. We encourage all students to participate and to give their best effort.

Finally, we have the Winter Lightning Premiership for our Grade 6 students. This is a highly anticipated event where our students compete against other schools in a variety of sports, including AFL, netball, softball and soccer. We know our students will rise to the occasion and demonstrate their skills and sportsmanship on the field.
