Senior Football

Senior Boys Football was played in Rochester on Thursday and after a cold start to the day it was perfect conditions for football. We had our first game against SMOTA and our early midfield dominance lead by Hugh Kerlin and Nate Rasmussen and some great work by our small forwards had us a couple of goals up at halftime. SMOTA picked up their game in the second half but some desperate defensive efforts from Dylan Hall and Lachlan Giffin meant we held onto our lead and got our first win for the day. We then played Nathalia and Echuca College on the main oval and kept our perfect record with two dominant performances. Highlights included some attacking run and a nice set shot goal from Ned Sinclair, Reed Hocking with a long goal from 50m out and some smart ball use from key players Harrison Foster, Ned Morgan and Declan Pearse. Our final game was against St. Joseph's and a win would mean we go through to the next stage however it wasn't to be as we were outclassed by our rivals to the north. Our best players for the day were Hugh Kerlin, Lachlan Giffin, Nate Rasmussen, Declan Pearse, Ned Sinclair and Ned Morgan, but all boys contributed well throughout the day and did a great job representing RSC.
