PRIMARY CLASS PHOTO RETAKE
Primary families please be reminded that due to a technical error, SchoolPix will need to revisit BHCS this week to retake CLASS photos for Prep to Year 6. Portrait photos do not need to be retaken.
Please send your children in their Winter Uniform on Friday, 5th May including their formal jumper.
STUDENT FREE DAY CALENDAR CHANGE
Please note that Friday, 18th August is no longer a student free day. This student free day will now take place on Tuesday, 29th August on which day Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place throughout the day and evening.
UNIFORM CHANGEOVER
As of Monday, 8th May ALL students will be required to wear the full winter uniform.
TOASTY THURSDAYS
We are pleased to announce that from Thursday, May 11th the Chaplain Team will be
beginning a breakfast club TOASTY THURSDAYS in the Chaplain Space.
These mornings are designed to encourage and promote students overall well-being and mental health along
starting the day with a tasty breakfast!
All are welcome and we look forward to hosting TOASTY THURSDAYS between 8.00am - 8.30am each Thursday!

VICTORIAN PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is now open and BHCS is excited to be participating!
We are running the challenge because we think reading is great and in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development.
The Premiers’ Reading Challenge is not a competition; but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 8 September 2023.

Books from the 2023 Challenge list can be found in the Discovery Centre or your local library, you may even have some at home!
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.

BHCS CANTEEN
PREP – YEAR 5: The canteen is available for lunch orders on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. Primary students (Prep - Year 5) may pre-order lunch orders via the Flexischools app only. No window service.
YEAR 6 - YEAR 12: Are welcome to order at the canteen window during recess and lunch breaks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
TREETOPS CAFE
The Café will be running every day except Wednesday. Senior students (Year 7 -12) are able to order food from the Café during break times. Only Year 11 & 12 students may use the tables and chairs in the Café.
ARE YOU IN FLEXISCHOOLS?
Families are reminded to download and subscribe to the Flexischools app. This is the portal where day to day reminders and information is distributed to the school community. To subscribe to your child's 2023 class group, please follow the below instructions.

CONGRATULATIONS JACK
Victorian Institute sport scholarship holder Jack Thomas recently competed in the under 23’s Keven Coombs cup at Nationals Wheelchair Basketball Championships in Queensland. Team Victoria were undefeated throughout the tournament and they took home the Gold medal match beating WA 72-61.
