End-of-year notices

Norbertus Out Now

The summer edition of Norbertus, the St Norbert College alumni magazine, is out now. You can find it on our website, Facebook page and also at  https://issuu.com/stnorbertcollege/docs/n33

In Issue 34, the magazine looks back in time at what the College was like in 1989 and 1999 and also features collages from the Class of 1977’s latest catch-up, and the Classes of 1986 and 1989 reunions that were coincidentally held on the same day in October.

As well as interviews with former stuents Joe Sciorilli, Matthew Thomas, Clare Bradley, Mark Kelly, Terrence Walsh, Jody Tièche, Julia Nabizadah, John Wojdylo and Hilmar Aevarrson, there's all the colour of SNESA Football Club and more! Many thanks and well done once again to Mr Frank Mulligan for another fine collection of stories and pictures of SNC alumni.

After a well-earned summer break, roving Norbertus editor Mr Mulligan would love to hear any news about former students: engagements, weddings, births, graduations, promotions, sporting achievements, travels, reunions, catch-ups… Photographs and details gratefully accepted.

2020 Student Allowances - Secondary Assistance Scheme

The State Government, through the Department of Education, provides financial support to eligible parents through the Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS). The aim of the scheme is to assist low income families with secondary schooling costs.

Eligible parents/guardians with students enrolled in Years 7 to 12 studying a full-time secondary course at a Western Australian non-government school will be able to apply for the Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS) in 2020.

The Secondary Assistance Scheme consists of two allowances:

  • $235 Education Program Allowance (payment made to the school); and
  • $115 Clothing Allowance (payment made to the parent/guardian).

Parents/guardians in receipt of the ABSTUDY School Fees allowance from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) are not eligible for the Secondary Assistance Scheme, but they may apply for the ABSTUDY Supplement Allowance.  The payment amount is $79.00 Education Program Allowance (payment made to the school).
